Calendar shows the month grid. List is a filterable feed of upcoming events. Map pins them by location.

Interested vs RSVP vs Application

Interested is the lightest signal and follows the whole series. It adds every occurrence to your personal calendar feed and subscribes you to organizer updates. You will not be counted as attending.

RSVP is per-occurrence (Going / Maybe / Not going). You show up in the guest list immediately, no organizer approval needed.

Application is how the flow is labeled when the organizer requires approval or asks RSVP questions. You'll click Apply instead of Going; your submission sits in a Pending state until an organizer approves or denies it. If the location is gated, the exact address unlocks only after you're approved.

Cancelled vs deleted

Organizers can only cancel. A cancelled event or instance keeps its page, keeps its RSVP list, and pushes a cancellation to anyone with the ICS feed subscribed. This is intentional so people who trusted your event on their calendar find out it's off.

Hard delete is admin-only and wipes the record entirely. Almost always you want Cancel.

Applications (approval-required RSVPs)

If an event asks questions or requires approval, the RSVP flow becomes an Application. Your response starts as pending until an organizer reviews it. If the event also gates its location, the address stays hidden until you're approved.

Gated locations

Some events show only a neighborhood hint publicly. The exact address unlocks once your RSVP is approved. This applies everywhere: the event page, the map, the ICS feeds, and the OpenGraph card that gets shared on other apps.

Roles

User: default. Can RSVP and submit events, which go through the review queue.

Trusted: bypasses the review queue. Their events are visible immediately.

Moderator: everything a trusted user can do, plus approve/reject queued events, cancel any event, and hide comments. Cannot manage users or hard-delete.

Admin: everything, including role assignment and hard delete.

Notifications

Web push notifications ping you about time / location changes, cancellations, RSVP approval decisions, and organizer update blasts. We'll offer to enable them right after your first RSVP or Interested tap. You can silence them by revoking permission in your browser at any time.

Turning them on

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Apple only delivers web push to sites installed as a home-screen app. One-time setup:

  1. Open the site in Safari (not in-app browsers like the one inside Discord).
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. Confirm the name.
  4. Open the app from your home screen. RSVP or hit Interested on any event. When we prompt for notifications, tap Enable, then Allow.

Requires iOS 16.4 or newer. If you're on an older version, update in Settings → General → Software Update.

Android (Chrome or Firefox)

Android delivers web push to any regular browser session, so installing as a PWA is optional but nicer.

  1. Open the site in Chrome or Firefox. Tap the browser menu and pick Install app (Chrome) or Install (Firefox).
  2. Open the installed app, RSVP or hit Interested, then tap Enable notifications when we ask, and Allow in the system prompt.
Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari 16+)

No install needed. RSVP or hit Interested on any event, then click Enable notifications and Allow when your browser asks. Notifications arrive even after you close the tab, as long as the browser is still running.

Turning them off

Revoke the site's notification permission in your browser settings, or dismiss the prompt with "Not now" and it won't come back on that device.
